Control Panel:
In order to configure your website, you will need to login to your control panel. This can be done by going to: http://www.yourdomain.co.uk/cpanel (replace yourdomain.co.uk with your actual domain name) e.g.http://www.designRweb.co.uk/cpanel
Your Login and Password is:
Login: *******
Password: *******
You are on Server: ********

Once you have logged in, you will be presented with various options. Have a look around the control panel to get yourself familiar with this.
Tutorials:
Along with the following information, we have interactive demos made in Flash, which will show you exactly how to configure your Cpanel control panel. These can be found at: http://www.designRweb.co.uk/helpdemo.htm (emails, databases, webstats…etc)
Email Accounts:
To add email accounts, you need to go within the “Mail” section in your control panel. From here you can add any number of emails, redirect your emails to a different address, add a mailing list…..etc. To set up your emails in your mail programme (Outlook / Outlook Express) the account name and password you have set up in your control panel must be used. Please go to: http://email.designRweb.co.uk for a step-by-step guide.
Webmail:
Webmail is a standard feature on all our accounts, which enables you to send and receive your emails from any web browser. To log into webmail, please go to the http://www.yourdomain.co.uk/webmail
Webmail can also be accessed in your control panel. You have a choice of using Neomail, Horde or Squirrelmail. Use your account name (i.e. info, sales…etc) and your password to send and receive your emails. (Please allow 48 hours for webmail to become active)
Web Stats:
To view your web stats for your site, you need to go within the “Web/ FTP Stats” section in your control panel. From there, you can access Webalizer, bandwidth…etc. (Please wait 48-72 hours from when your site goes live to view your stats).
Databases:
To add databases to your site, you need to go into the “MySQL Databases” section in your control panel. Once you are in there, you can add a MySQL database to your site. Your database will be controlled via PHP myadmin, which can also be found here.
FrontPage Extensions:
If your site requires FrontPage extensions, you can enable/ disable them in the “FrontPage Extensions” section of your control panel.
Protected Directories:
To add protected directories on your account, please log into your control panel and select “Password Protect Directories”. Once you are into the directory folder, simply follow the on screen directions to add a protected folder.
Shared SSL:
Please contact us if you require shared SSL space.
Own SSL Certificate:
Please contact us if you require your own SSL certificate, IP address and space.
FTP Details:
You will need your FTP details to add/ upload pages to your site. Your details are:
Hostname: ftp.yourdomain.co.uk (replace “yourdomain.co.uk” with your domain name)
Domain: yourdomain.co.uk
Host address: ftp.yourdomain.co.uk
User ID: *******
Password: *******
Note: If you wish to upload your files straight away on a new account, please email support [at] designRweb.co.uk and ask for the temporary IP of your webspace, you will need to provide the domain name and your username. This will allow you to FTP via the IP address to get the site initially published. Once your domain name is pointing to our servers, you MUST use your default FTP host address (ftp.yourdomain.co.uk)
Important: When you upload images (jpg, gif….etc) or swf (flash) files, you MUST upload these as “Binary” files or they may not function properly, into the “public_html” folder. When you upload HTML pages, perl/php scripts (into the CGI Bin) these must be uploaded as “Text or ASCII” files. Before sript will execute on the servers, it must be set as executable for world (chmod 755) or they will not function correctly.
Once you log into your FTP, your will be presented with various folders. All site files must be placed into the “www” folder (public_html). All scripts (needing cgi bin access) must be placed into the cgi bin folder.
