One of my clients has been having problems with PHPlist. Specifically the box where they type the message (rather like the box I am typing in now) does not appear. I do not have this problem. I think I have found the cause and, though I am not 100% certain, I thought it worth floating here.

The PHPlist software uses the FCKeditor. My client uses AOL. On the relevant page there is an <iframe> tag and I think that AOL is filtering this out. Whether this is done in the special AOL browser (in which case the solution is simple: get Firefox (http://www.firefox2.com/)) or deeper into AOL I do not know.

If your clients report that the software isn't working for them, you might like to enquire "Are you an AOL user?" That might be the reason.

The AOL "browser" is not compatible with most CMS and Blog systems, and has a habit of completely killing online website designers.

Yes, the solution is to inform the client to use a "proper" browser , and IMHO a qualty ISP :)
