As, I think, a result of the webmail hack, everytime I restart my PC I get the message about waiting while the system is updated. On running AdAware It detects atl.dll which is, it says, put there by PeopleOnPage. I delete it, but the next time I restart the PC it gets reinstalled.

I have looked at the relevant registry key (at My Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Win dows\CurrentVersion\Run and also \RunOnce but cannot find where this pest is being re-injected into my system.

Any sugestions, folks?

Just to add tp Robs comments, it could be that it starts up upon booting up your machine. You could try booting up in safe mode and then searching/ deleting this file.

Roger, how did you get on with this? I also had a similar problem and it's taken me all morning to sort one out on my machine! Take a look http://www.pchell.com and see if you can find your problem and cure there.

Jay, I'm away from home this week (in Basildon, so you can tell the boys and girls from Othello that I'm only 15 minutes down the road if the system starts playing up :D ) It sems to have gone away, but I was mortified on running a virus check that it found a keylogger that seems to have been there for several weeks and may not therefore have been associated with the recent unpleasnatness. Sorry to be vague but the relevant PC is 270 miles away.
