Who has got it? I have got it (but I have to wait 1 - 2 weeks for a special order to be made, because of this (http://www.ferrago.com/story/6974), and it is now not officialy distrubuted in the UK).

If you have any version (Demo, eXtreme, eXtreme Demo, Normal), Then use this thread to distrobute tracks and cars made with the built in editors. You can just also chat about the game in general. :D

I have a work in progress video of my next demo track, DARRKCLOUD 3. It contains 3 of the jumps in the level, and shows you the speed of the level. The car is topping out at a top speed of 850KM/H+ (528.18 MPH+)!

Yes it is a arcade game, but it has surperb longitivity, because you can get over 22,000 new levels for it allready, with new levels being made every day (22,442 currently at the developer (Naedo) supported TrackMania Sunrise eXchange (http://sunrise.tm-exchange.com/main.aspx?action=tracksearch)). It has also got a high Game Stats ranking, andit is in #60 place, (http://www.gamestats.com/objects/691/691506/articles.html#reviews) what is good for a game what came out in April this year.

BTW, Steve, do you have a very large version of your logo, Like 900px wide?
EDIT: Do not bother, there was a scale button on the skin creator, but the log has malformed into lots of colours. :(


Stupid NTL did something to my connection, I do nkt know what, but it went down then up, but the speed has inproved gratly, 500KB file in less than a second. 10meg allready?!?!


Was #52, just NTL had a 5 min downtime. :(

you get the nag screen (what can be exited with Alt+F4), only a few official tracks, cannot download car skins, cannot add your own music, and you do not get all of the modes. :)

In the demo version You can download lots of tracks and create your own, with the built in track editor, there is currently 6,987 (at time of posting) you can download on TMX (three of which are mine, DARRKCLOUD is my username on there). :)

There is also 2 demos, Trackmania Sunrise and Trackmania Sunrise eXtreme, with eXtreme having the more official content. :)

You plan to market your products across Europe and you, therefore, need to identify a selling price for your products in the different currencies.

In order to do this you need to take a view upon the exchange rate that you are going to use. It is not practical to just pick a day and adopt that rate as the exchange rates fluctuate from day to day.

You will monitor, at least, the following 5 currencies:
• Euro
• Swiss Franc
• Norwegian Kroner
• Danish Kroner
• Hungarian Florint

You will monitor and record the exchange rates on a Monday and Wednesday for a period from 1st October to 31st January (excluding the Christmas break period). From the information collected you will then determine an average exchange rate figure for each currency.

My spreadsheet was currupt though. :(
But it was cut down to 7, because of one of the currencies did not exist on the website i was using, and you were reconmended to use infomation from one source. :D

Off topic:

I just installed UT2004 and I can play it with everything set to it's highest setting with the resolution set to 1280x1024 and I get no noticeable slow down at all. How can I find out how many FPS I am getting?

:eek: Trackmania Sunrise can create its own AVI's, but the soud is a fuzz. I am going to see if I can make the sound work, by patching it. :D

Cool, how much did it cost you to buy Trackmania Sunrise and where did you get it from? :cool:

I got it for £23.99 here (http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0002ISL4C/qid=1136974464/sr=8-1/ref=sr_8_xs_ap_i1_xgl/202-8543595-6127044). The main problem is that it has the worlds best anti copying measure, that is thay you cannot realy get it out of the case, without snapping the disc. Yesterday, I spent about 10 minuites trying to get it out of the case lol. You bend the disc at nearly a 45 degree angle, before it omes out. And you need to take the dic out every time you play it, because of the copy protection, It checks the key printed on the manual, against the disc.

Anyway, I am not that far into the game, but I have hit a track, what is almost impossable. I am in the Summit section of the Platform races, and I have not done any of the others yet. if you want a screenshot, then:

Whats even weiad about the game is that the Music is stored in skins, for some very strange reason. :confused:

I have just viewed the benchmark FPS count, and in some places it hits almost 150FPS on full settings. :eek: My computer was all over the place when running this game. Mind you I did have some sound card trouble, because the software was defaulting to the soundcard. :confused:

It is free, You only get one enviroment, it is only 250mb (instead of 1GB) and you get a nag screen (because it is free). The simularites are that you get a track editor, and you get 90 offline tracks with the game. You can still get tracks on the TM Exchange (http://nations.tm-exchange.com). On the official site if you have got the full version, and a key from sunrise, you can get extra features (havn't done that yet).

You can also see how your country is doing in the ESWC (http://www.esworldcup.com/2006/?act=competition&id_competition=4), because it was developed for that. The downside that the beginner levels are so easy. You can see this here (http://drivehq.com/file/DF.aspx/TrackMania%20Nations%20001.wmv?isGallery=&share=true&shareID=39629&fileID=662170&sesID=eiq1sn55xj0rhp55l5degt45&forcedDownload=true). It was also designed for and by nVida and their graphics cards.

No, just the outcome of me experementing with moo.fx (http://moofx.mad4milk.net/), moo.ajax (http://www.mad4milk.net/entry/moo.ajax) and SMF's SSI.php. The page numbering (http://www.phpfreaks.com/tutorials/73/1.php) system was done by a tut though. That was a small demo of the new news syste, what is going to be on the new Nitro RC Car Central.

It is very good actually. It is more community baised than the older games, and they have improved the graphics a bit. I still need to optimise the settings, as at the moment on the indoord stadium I am getting quite a low FPS. I am going to try to switch off the option of the Dynamic Lighting, or town down the shader quality.

The Mania Links system is very good, and I had a quick navigate around. I also get 70 coppers per day instead of 50 because I own TM: Sunrise. My Nickname on it is "Jon Moseley (DARRKCLOUD)". :)

Well, on the box it says that it does work on vista, but I do not know if it will for sure because I have got Windows XP.

I just downloaded the Trackmania Sunrise Extreme demo and it doesn't seem to work - the initial dialog box opens, which lets me access and change the game settings, etc. However, when I click "Play" the dialog box closes and the game doesn't load. :(

I am running Windows Vista by the way. It's a shame because it looks like a really good game.

Has Windows Vista have a Program Compatibility options dialog like Win XP? If so, you could try to change the program compatibility to Windows XP.
