How can I make contact by simple email? I have a handful of questions about your resellers package which will help me decide whether to buy space with you?
(I dont use any of the messenger services) :)
Just in case this helps:
I am interested in a resellers account...
It would be helpful to receive the following info...
Can you confirm which versions of the following are currently enabled?
a. MySQL?
b. Cpanel?
c. PHP?
d. Siteframe (in fantastico)
I should also be grateful if you could confirm the following:
#1 ur minimum contract period is one month?
#2 you permit your clients to follow through their domains via IP before the global name servers have resolved? e.g. http://IPaddress/~username/ ?
#3 Do you back up clients data daily or weekly?
#4 WHM offer "Quota Editor" for disk space and in the View Bandwidth page you can alter the bandwidth of individual domains.... is this enabled on your whm?
#5 you use paypal?
#6 there is a money-back guarantee?
#7 how do your clients cancel their account?

Hello Peter,
Thanks for your interest in StaticHost! :)
How can I make contact by simple email? I have a handful of questions about your resellers package which will help me decide whether to buy space with you?
You can email our Sales Department at sales@statichost.co.uk. :)
Can you confirm which versions of the following are currently enabled?
a. MySQL?
b. Cpanel?
c. PHP?
d. Siteframe (in fantastico)
We are running the following software versions:
MySQL: 4.0.25
cPanel: Latest Release (10.8.1-RELEASE 113)

That's correct, you may cancel at any time. :)
#2 you permit your clients to follow through their domains via IP before the global name servers have resolved? e.g. http://IPaddress/~username/ ?
Yes, you are able to do this. Your temporary URL will be given to you in your welcome email.
#3 Do you back up clients data daily or weekly?
We perform daily backups to a secondary hard drive.
#4 WHM offer "Quota Editor" for disk space and in the View Bandwidth page you can alter the bandwidth of individual domains.... is this enabled on your whm?
It is enabled.
#5 you use paypal?
Yes, and we also accept NoChex and MoneyBookers.
#6 there is a money-back guarantee?
Yes, there is a 30 day money back guarantee.
#7 how do your clients cancel their account?
You can cancel your account by submitting a ticket to our helpdesk which is located in your Client Area. You will have access to your Client Area after ordering a package from us.
Please let me know if you have any further questions! :)

Hello Peter,
I need 4.1.13 ideally?
Are there any particular features of MySQL 4.1.13 that you need?

The backup functionality on CPanel for Siteframe 3.2.2, will not work with MySQL: 4.0.25 but does work with 4.1.13 or newer.
Did I ask what skins your using with CPanel?
Cheers

Hello Peter,
Did I ask what skins your using with CPanel?
You can choose between the default cPanel skins (x, x2 & bluelagoon) and any of the 14 RVskins. :)

Let me know when you upgrade your MySQL...
I am having problems with one of my reseller-suppliers, and if it doesn't resolve soon, I shall have to move...
Cheers

Just wondering whether there's likely to be an upgrade soon?

Hello Peter,
At the moment we are not looking to upgrade as all of the other users on the server are hosting scripts that use MySQL 4.0.25, so upgrading to MySQL 4.1.13 could potentially break them.
The backup functionality on CPanel for Siteframe 3.2.2, will not work with MySQL: 4.0.25 but does work with 4.1.13 or newer.
That's strange, there's not much difference between MySQL 4.0.25 and 4.1.13. We run daily backups on all of our servers so your data is safe. If you want, you can always make a "manual" backup via cPanel or phpMyAdmin. I can tell you how to do this if you want. :)
